The bulk of some traders’ monthly profits come from successful execution on Trend Days – while other traders get plowed-over on these days by fighting a prevailing trend.  Make sure you know as much about Trend Days as possible, do your research, and take advantage of recognizing these days when they develop – they can be very rewarding… or destructive.

  • You are great! Wonderful compilation. I can go through the list and study them for better understanding.
  • Neil,

    Thanks for sharing!

Trend Days are rare and we get lulled into all these counter-trend trades that work very often on most days - but along comes a trend day and blows all that out of the water - ALL the rules change on a Trend Day and the earlier you realize it, the better. I then get aggressive on trend days, scalping about the 20 and playing a core trade into the close.

It almost goes against everything you believe, but you have to keep buying on an up-trend day and short-selling is NOT allowed (and vice versa).

Hi Corey ... Excellent compilation .... and I would like to share a great coincidence .... Well, today itself ... I too was caught in fighting an uptrend day in one of the stocks, Well, I actually shorted that stock twice on the basis of negative divergence in the 3/10 macd, the first time I got stopped out, the second time I shorted it, I felt something was wrong, I quickly drew a tredline on the intraday chart ... and I realized that in last 2 days 5 min chart, that stock was taking support at that tredline, and near the 20 period ema, ... covered my 2nd short at par, andd went long at the 20 ema , with a stop just below the rising tredline ... and I rode the trend through out the day .... not only I covered my loss of the 1st short but also made profit more than the loss I suffered :) Anyways ... this compilation of your is just fantastic ... because sometimes one does get caught fighting against a trend on basis of oscillators .... Amazing post ... thanks for doing this .
    Cheers
