Chris Perruna recently posted a quick article including various examples in his post “Position Sizing:  Determining the Number of Shares to Buy.”

Specifically, Chris also provides his free “Position Sizing Excel Sheet with Stops” which I have used in the past and sometimes still use in setting up longer term swing or position trades – he is very generous to offer the file to us on the website.

Through using position sizing, Perruna states, “The number of shares change but the risk stays the same!”.

He then walks us through three scenarios with three traders each to let you develop your own ideas on the topic.
