Corey is visiting Chicago this weekend

chicago.jpgAs the headline states, I will be traveling to Chicago from Friday, October 19th until Sunday, October 21st. I’ll still try to keep brief posts and perhaps share a few weekend reading links.

I will be visiting a client in Chicago and touring around the city, but also wanted to extend an invitation to any blog reader/trader/MTA Member who lives in or around Chicago.

If you would like to network with me, or meet me, I will have some free time during my visit and encourage you to say ‘hello’ and would like to meet you as well and perhaps have lunch or dinner as a group.

If you would be available during that time, please contact me at corey AT afraidtotrade DOT com to connect before a possible meeting.

It’s my first visit to Chicago, so I’m excited to see what this great city has to offer!

  1. Chicago has a lot of fun things to do! Its almost like my hometown! When I went to college, I would visit every weekend to have fun during the days and night. There’s so much to this great city that I don’t know where to start! Will you be traveling on your own or will you have people to hang out with? You will like the sky line Chicago will offer and all the great food!!!! I hope you enjoy your visit and tell us about it when you come back!

  2. I’m very excited, indeed. I’ve heard so many wonderful things – now it’s my time to experience it. I’ll be going up on my own but will be meeting two friends there and staying with them. I have meetings with traders on Friday and a couple of things Saturday, and the rest is play. I’d be happy to meet any blog readers who currently live in the Chicago area as well. I’ll try to keep up while I’m up there and keep you all informed when I return.

  3. Chicago is a great city. My favorite big city in the U.S. Are you planning to do any sightseeing when you are there? The John Hancock building is a pretty neat place to visit, as is the Sears Tower and the Shedd Aquarium.

  4. I’m definitely planning lots of sightseeing, especially on the weekend! I love traveling, and want to take in as much of the city I visit as possible.

I’m particularly excited about so many things. My friend is planning a visit for me to the John Hancock building to a bar or an entrance that only locals know about – sounds interesting! We’ll also be visiting a museum and art gallery or two during the visit. And one has to visit the Sears Tower whilst in Chicago! I’m not a huge aquarium fan – I’m more into the history or cultural aspects of museums and theater/shows.

I’m going to have to extend my visit to be able to see everything I want to see! I’m always open for suggestions!

    Thanks Aaron!

  5. For a history or cultural sightseeing the Field Museum is a good one, so maybe that is one you are already planning to see. The bar/restaraunt at the top of the Hancock is a very nice place! When I first went to Chicago, one of my first stops was checking out the Wrigleyville area around Wrigley Field as well. Great city.

  6. I know that we are visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, a few of the exchanges (CME especially), the Museum of Science, Hyde Park, and hopefully a few more surprises.

There’s just too much to do in three days!

I’ll give a full report when I return, and perhaps even post some pictures!

    Corey
